For a while now we’ve been trying to establish a proper cross-platform compute benchmark suite to add to our GPU articles. It’s not been entirely successful. While GPUs have been compute capable in some form since 2006 with the launch of G80, and AMD significantly improved their compute capabilities in 2009 with Cypress, the software has been slow to catch on. From gatherings such as NVIDIA’s GTC we’ve seen first-hand how GPU computing is being used in the high-performance computing market, but the consumer side hasn’t materialized as quickly as the right situations for using GPU computing aren’t as straightforward and many developers are unwilling to attach themselves to a single platform in the process.

Hogwarts Legacy is a bit of a different beast. You see, while nearly all the mainline Harry Potter video games have simply adapted a storyline from the books and movies, Hogwarts Legacy features an entirely original storyline and — save for a few ghosts, poltergeists, and talking paintings — new characters. For many, this has been a nice change of pace, seeing as how it’s been over a decade since fans have been treated to a fully-fledged triple-A console game from the franchise, as opposed to a free-to-play mobile title.

Jason Crabb (born March 3, 1977) is a Christian music singer and musician who specialises in contemporary Christian music. He is the main singer for the rock band The Crabb Family, which he founded. Crabb was named “Favorite Male Vocalist” at the inaugural annual Harmony Honors Awards, as well as “Favorite Young Artist” at the 2000 Singing News Fan Awards. Crabb has also been nominated for a Grammy Award.
